Here's What We Can Do: |
• We accept used batteries for recycleable return. Proceeds from the return of used batteries will be directed to W.A.R.M. as a donation. |
• Hometown maximizes the recovery of used motor oil. It is stored in a tested EPA tank & meets or exceeds the standard set forth by the EPA. We cannot accept used motor oil from outside sources. Small amounts of hazardous substances like brake cleaner & other foreign fluids or particulates can contaminate our test results. You can drop off oil at locations as designated by Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio, www.SWACO.org, which include some NAPA retail locations. Click here for drop off locations of tires & used motor oil. |
• Our facility practices a sensible waste management program to contain and control spills and avoid the contamination of storm water, surface water and the ground surrounding our environment. |
Here's What You Can Do: |
• Keep Your Car Well Tuned |
• Get Regular Oil Changes & Change Your Oil With Environmental Care |
• The "Check Engine Light" means get your car to the shop NOW. We check for a variety of problems such as: |
• Radiator thermostat operating at correct temperature-if it's too low your car never warms up & you waste gas; |
• Gas cap seals - a poorly sealed gas cap allows gas to evaporate, wasting gas and causing smog; |
• EGR oxygen sensor check (a bad oxygen sensor can waste gas). |
